First Feature :)

Yay! Our very first feature! I follow many party decor/planning blogs. I am always eager to see all of the detail and thought that goes into planning a party. I'm a bit obsessed with it. Kal-el's first birthday party was my first attempt at birthday party planning and apparently it wasn't too shabby :) Today his party is featured on The Small Town Soiree Blog. These sites are a great source of inspiration if you have an upcoming event. I'm honored that she chose to feature my party. I hope each year I'm able to have unique and creative parties for Super! Thanks again for the feature :)

Mimsy's Birthday Celebration!

My mom and I have birthdays one week apart . Her's fell on a Wednesday this year just like mine so we had a wonderful early celebration with the family this Saturday. Mom choose the Olive Garden for her birthday dinner. We all had a fabulous time. We haven't celebrated a birthday there since Chris's last December so it was a nice variation from the usual Fiesta meal. My mother's birthday will always hold a special place in my heart for two reasons. The first is of course that she is my mother and its a day to celebrate the day she was born and show her how much we love her. The other reason is because two years ago at this time on my mother's birthday I found out that a new little family member would be joining us every year to celebrate moms birthday. I know I can never out do the birthday where I told my Mom that she was going to be a grandmother but having Kal-el here with us is even better. He had a blast at her birthday party. At one point we  had to stop him from diving into the cake, he get's this trait honest. After food was eaten, and gifts were opened we called it a night. This means no more Victorian Tea room cake until next July for our birthdays. :( I love you so much Mom and I hope you had a very Happy Birthday. You deserve more than I could possibly give you. I'm proud to call you my Mommy and Kal-el is blessed to have you as his Mimsy! xoxo :)

Custom family shirts!

If you know me at all you know that I go absolutely insane over custom/personalised items! I LOVE them. The idea of taking a product and making it uniquely your own has always appealed to me. I fell so in love with our new blog design that I couldn't wait to put in on a shirt...or anything else for that matter! :) I found a really great website that does awesome work and can customize tons of products. I ordered a couple of fun shirts for Kal-el. They are totally silly and too cute. I let him wear the one with me on it the other night and he was so funny to watch. He really couldn't understand why Mommy's face was on his shirt. He found it quite amusing. I ask him "Where is Mommy's nose?" and instead of pointing it out on my face like he normally does he found my nose on his shirt, pointed it out, and laughed hysterically. Sweet smart silly man! I also ordered him a shirt to wear the day of Chris's next fight. It turned out great. I've got several more adult shirts headed our way for Chris and Mimsy. I ordered a test one for myself and I absolutely loved the results. This may get out of hand! Did I mention they have mousepads, aprons, and wall clocks? ;-)

"It's Mommy!"
