Putting Up Our Tree!

  Well the main Christmas tree is up! Still have the boys Superhero to go but at least I got a start on the day after Thanksgiving. Seems like Christmas gets earlier every year but I simply can't start one holiday until the one proceeding it is wrapped up. I like to call poor Thanksgiving the red headed step child of holidays lol! We had a great night while putting the tree up. We watched football as a family, made chilli, and worked on our tree. Kal-El was such an awesome helper. It's still not quite complete but the hard stuff is out of the way...dragging it down from the attic and dealing with the dang string lights ;) In the future I'd like to add an add a gingerbread themed tree to the kitchen and an Oregon tree somewhere as well. It will be fun collecting ornaments over the years and its something the boys can participate in!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

   We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. I barely made it considering that I caught the same awful sickness that both my boys had. Dinner was at my moms this year so it was only a few blocks down. I figured I wasn't contagious so I gathered my energy and off we went. We even started a new tradition of card games. I discovered very quickly that I love spades and am awesome at it and I hate Rook and am equally as bad at it! The highlight for me was that Chris was able to make it back home on a train in time to with us. We thought there was no possible way be would make it this year. We were so pleasantly surprised. If my sweet Aunt Vicki had not of been sick as well it would of been a truly perfect turkey day! :)
