Keeping Up With Kal-El -March

Well I'm officially keeping up with a 3 year old now! Wow :) He's more loved and entertaining then ever. He makes me laugh daily and I sleep really really well at night! Here are some of my March favorites...

-Every bird....be it in the yard, perched on a tree, or flying in the air is an " angry bird" and every single small, or large, medium thing that has four legs and fur is "berry cute" :)

- I'm afraid I've made him very aware of bad weather. Dark clouds often provoke the extreme verbal reaction of "Oh no Mommy BIG STORM coming!!!" Today he took a very manly approach to all the severe thunder storm warnings and ordered Logan and I to go hide so he could" find storm and beat it up" I love having little boys..sweet baby! He even watches the weather at night...he can kind of read a radar...don't judge me lol

- Crane flies have been EVERYWHERE this Spring...I despise them...their like flimsy mosquitoes on steroids. One night while letting the dogs in several of them got in the house. Every time I would swat one out of kill it Kal-el would stand behind me clapping in the background saying "Great job Mommy I soooo proud of you!" We use alot of verbal positive reinforcement in this house :)

- Before his big birthday bash he would call Sponge Bob every night from his play phone to make sure he was bringing all his friends ..including Patrick..to his birthday party. I also heard Kal-el confirming the arrival of his cake more than once.

- Kal-el has recently started giving a few orders to Logan...can't imagine who he gets this from but he's a tad bossy. I walked in the room a week ago to find Super's finger smashed in my sweet baby's fat cheek and heard the following come out of first borns mouth..."Logan No you NOT touch my cars ever again! ok? ok!"

- Funny antics like the above aside...Kal-el has a mutual love and fondness for Logan now. He kisses him often, plays in his hair and I hear "Aww I love you Logan" more time than my happy heart can count <3

-Kal-el insists on Logan saying his name and Mama or Dada...he works with him daily on this :)

-If Super thinks Chris or myself is speaking too loudly, especially at night, he will raise one little finger slowly over his lips and make a very long shhhhhhhhhhhh sound and tell us "bee quiet puleeze before you wake Logan up" He has heard this phrase often no doubt.

-He notices boobies....I hate it but it's true...I think it's common and gross(although admittedly quite funny) and don't encourage it but it's true. We had meatballs not long ago and be lovingly lined them up and refered to them as meat boobies...oh boy!

-He loves to pick out his clothes and can mostly dress himself but we tend to help for time reasons. I must say he's got great taste and even has the matching thing down!

- He has a favorite phrase that he uses daily...he says "YES I AAAAM" to everything...hard to give an example but I wanted to document so I'll remember :)

-Me loving pop tarts during my pregnancy with him is really showing up...he's a healthy eater but he requires a variety of pop tarts...flavor of the week : Hot fudge sundae!

-Pluto is still his best friend and he's still a Daddy's boy!

<3 you Superboy!

Kal-el's 3rd Birthday Party!

I feel like I've been living in a pineapple under the sea for the better part of the last two months! There has been so much SBob paraphernalia accumulating in our home since January that this last week I was counting down the days until party time more than ever! It was a gorgeous day yesterday. The perfect day to celebrate our sweet baby boy who just turned 3!  I managed to get everything done in time and it was relatively stress free. I could not of done it without all the help from my family. Larry and my Mom not only came dressed in character but they made some fabulous Krabby patties!  Aunt Shane and Nannie came over to keep the boys so Chris and myself, along with Mom, Larry, and Raymond could decorate the facility. We pulled everything together just in time for the party to start and once the cake made it's arrival we were all set. Kal-el had a wonderful time and even though it's such hard work it always ends up being worth it to see the big smile on his face. Its more than worth the months of preparation. I'm so grateful for all of our family and friends that joined us today to celebrate Kal-el's 3rd birthday. Super is certainly a loved little boy. I hope you enjoyed your party Kal-el. I always have fun planning them and I hope you always feel the love that goes into them. We have just enough time to get rested before Logan's cookie monster birthday bash :)
Both my sweet boys were all party'ed  out :)
