Mingle Magazine On Sale Now!
Yesterday Kal-El, Logan, and I made a trip over to Joanne's Fabric because they had the issue of Mingle Magazine out early! Woo hoo! :) We will be going back as soon as it comes to Books A Million on the first but I HAD to take him to see it! He was so excited and it was pretty surreal for me also. I wanted to make an additional blog post for this bc I realized that I had not shared the individual pages with everyone. Danielle and I got a 12 page spread!!!! If anyone wants to purchase they are on sale at Joanne's now and will be at BAM on the 1st (Tuesday!). They are a little pricey so this way everyone can have a look incase you didnt want to buy! Kal-El Turns 5!
Our baby boy is 5! My first little superhero is growing up on us. Even though his big party is not until April 6th the actual day of his birthday could not have been more special if we scripted it! :) We had a wonderful day. K picked Asian food for lunch and when we arrived back home we received the best surprise in the mail. The long awaited issue of Mingle Magazine was on our doorstep. This magazine was a really big deal to me bc its sold at Books A million, Joannes Fabric and other craft stores nationally! The most special part of all was that Kal-El was also in it via The Little Gentleman's Tea Party Event! My mothers day event also featured. A 2 in 1!! Talk about excited!!! Kal-El could not stop smiling and looking at it!
He also had his first official baseball game with his team. What could be better than a birthday game with friends enjoying your new favorite past time? Getting a big hit, thats what! I wish I could have captured the look on his little fact when he heard the 'ding' from the bat hitting that 42 mph ball. Pure joy! Followed by wait...I have to run!! Sweet boy :)
I have to say this because I know he will read these posts on day. He is a very, very special, unique little boy. I'm not saying that boastfully nor bc he's mine. He just is. He has captured the hearts of SO many people in his 5 little years that it shocks me at times. He's infectious, passionate, and an absolute joy even when he's difficult. He is so full of life and wise beyond his years in so many ways. I love children but I usually find their humor a little eye rolling and a bit amateurish. Not Super....he's full of adult wit and charm. I have a very dry sense of humor most days and he literally keeps me rolling. I'm so proud of him and love the kind, sweet way he interacts with other children. To be so bold otherwise, he is a precious sweet little friend..especially to the girls lol! Trouble trouble, I already know. He is one of the greatest sources of joy in my life. He makes every single day special. He's my Superman. Daddy, Logan and I love you Kal-El..all the way to Krypton and back! xoxoxo

Playing Catch Up!
Its been a busy month and I havent checked in since last month so here goes a briefing :) We've had a couple of health adventures. Chris bear had his wisdom teeth taken out during his vacation week and I can honestly say Ive never laughed so hard in my life at his anesthesia antics. I love that nutcase to pieces xoxo! I also had a little scare with my heart and palpitations. Thankfully, 2 er visits, several copays, and echos later my little ticker is doing just fine. I just need to get in better condition. Kal-El is currently suffering from conjunctivitis (pink eye) but still as wild as ever and Logan is the picture of health :) We have a lot to be grateful for. We decided to hold off on our Oregon trip until the boys are just a but older so they can remember and enjoy it more! We had such a nice week of relaxing...I think we all really, really need the relaxation, movies, and cuddle time!
The most exciting new thing in our lives is baseball for Super and language explosion for Logan! K had his first couple of practices this past week and we are all enjoying it so much. Kal-El took right to sports and literally cant get enough of it. I look forward to all of our games this year,....Including the one this Thursday...his very first game on his birthday! So exciting! We also got Kal-El registered for school this August. He is seriously going to love it and the fact that hes so independent about it helps mommy bird hover'er a great deal ;) He's going to school at the same place he plays baseball so I'm excited about him playing with many of the same children this summer. I was a little concerned initially about diversity but everyone has been amazing to us and I love the smaller feel of the school...it seems more private and the education seems like it takes a front seat. All a plus for sure.
Logan has become a talking machine. He has about 45 -50 words now :) His voice is PRECIOUS. Im so proud of him that I can hardly stand it. He has 2 favorite 'H' words at the moment. Hulk (yes the irony) and hugs (I beg for them all day) He's an amazing little boy who captures my heart even more with each new word that leaves his little mouth. I cant wait until the sentences start rolling bc I know its coming...he already has one "Here you go!" for when he wants something. He used it at Super's baseball game when a man sat down beside him with a funnel cake. "HERE YOU GO!!!" Everyone got a laugh out of that one!
Business with Capes and Crowns has been super busy to! Im waiting for the issue of Mingle Magazine to hit stands at the beginning of April and we just finished wrapping the Bambi Twittered pated shoot for Bird's party magazine. I can not tell a lie here, Im without a doubt the most excited about Kal-El's party on April 6th. I planned it a couple weeks after his bday bc I thought we'd be in Oregon but Im relieved for the extra time bc I want it to be extra special.
Most of these pictures will be from Instagram on this update. While its often times difficult to sit and write a blog post with two wild superheros running around I always snap pics of them and share. The next post will prob be all the baseball practice pictures :)
