Family Night at the Drive-Ins!

Last night The Avenges opened and Chris and I took the boys to our local drive-in to watch it. Our children are named after superheros so we really don't miss features like this! Kal-El has seen commercials for the past month and always asks me to watch the trailer on the computer. After some reassurance that The Hulk was not a bad guy or "scareWEE"  he was begging to go watch! So thats just what we did. Armed with snacks, character tees, and a couple of blankets we made our way to King's Drive-In. We are so lucky to have one of these so close to home. It's a very All American, nostalgic feeling looking around and seeing all the families in their cars, on the grass with blankets, children running around playing and teenagers cuddled up. When we arrived...an entire early...they were already packed. We were after 3 rows back which at first seemed like it might be a better view but some of the quality was lost. That and the fact that it was a full moon out so it wasn't quite as dark. Regardless, the movie or the experience did not disappoint. It was awesome just like the previews indicated. I'm a true comic fan and very easily let down but I was pleased with close to every aspect. Logan stayed up for almost the entire movie. He fell asleep on the ride down but woke up happy and content even with the loudness that comes with a movie. That's nothing new for that little sweetheart though. We briefly competed with the film for our own action. A HUGE spider managed to crawl into the truck. Chris saw it from the outside first and tried to roll his window up as quickly as possible. The spider won and creeped himself up Chris's leg. I'm so proud of him for not dropping our baby! After some brief commotion and sheer panic the spider met its demise. The last thing it saw was my skittle bag. No skittles were harmed during this film....except by me lol! Things got settled again shortly there after and we were able to watch the rest of the film. It was a very fun night and I know the boys really enjoyed it.  It's such an easy way to take both the boys and have everything accessible and on hand the entire time. I know we'll be back in July because The Dark Knight will be released. We are looking forward to more family nights at the drive-ins! :)
Both boys were just waking up as we pulled in :)
Chris cleaning the windows to make sure we had an "HD" viewing LOL!
                                        Snack time!
This Punisher shirt was the only Marvel shirt that was clean...some if the "cool" kids with purple hair loved it..ha!
