Merry (Kal-el's First) Christmas!

The big day finally arrived. Kal-el's first Christmas! Since he is 9 months old and not capable of understanding the true meaning just yet it was all about fun and toys this year for super. We started the morning early and called Poppa over so he could watch Kal-el open his gifts. Chris, Mimsy, and I also exchanged gifts during this time. Kal-el was the most fun to watch of course but I was a little surprised that he didnt go totally nuts with the wrapping paper like I expected. He was more interested in checking out his presents. We tried not to over do it too much but he did rack up I must say. I dont feel too bad b/c he did get alot of educational and bilingual toys which we are pretty big on. After gifts were opened I had to hurry up and bake my Oooey Gooey pumpkin butter cake for our Christmas feast next door at Nannie and Poppa's which usually always starts at noon. I had just enough time to jump in the bath and wash my hair with my new philosophy bath products Chris bear bought me. Red velvet cake was the wash of choice as I felt it was most festive for Christmas! Even though it was hard to say no to the Fresh baked apple pie and Pumpkin spiced muffin lol I'll probably take 3 baths a day now lol. I hurriedly got dressed and put on some beautiful new pave hoop earrings and a new purple guess purse courtesy of my sweet Mommy for Christmas. We loaded up all of Super's gear. Thankfully we only had to walk next door this year. It is so nice having Nan and Pop living next door. The whole family was there. Nannie, Poppa, Me, Kal-el, Chris, Mimsy, Aunt Shane, Uncle Raymond, Zach, Lea, Aunt Vicki, Harold and finally my cousin Jon-Thomas who I had not seen in about two years. He got to meet Kal-el for the very first time. We all enjoyed some way too good food then it was time to exchange some more gifts. We all had a very good laugh this year. Nannie and Poppa have always wrapped a small gift under the tree and then give the kids a card with some spending money well this year EVERYONE got a small wrapped gift of the same nature. UNDERWEAR! Mine of course was a Christmas thong. Oh boy I can never say they are out of touch. We played dress up for a few minutes and took pictures. Sorry Kal-el sometimes we can be a little embarrassing but you will never be bored sweetie! The rest of the evening was spend doing alot of relaxing, talking, and just enjoying family. This is what Christmas is about. We are so much more fortunate than so many and that would still be true if there weren't a single gift to open this year. I'm so humbled by the fact that we all have each other, our health, and a place to call home. I cant wait to share the true meaning of Christmas with Kal-el has he gets older. This year couldnt have been anymore wonderful. Merry Christmas!
