Saturday was Super's photoshoot for his one year pictures. We decided to give Bailey a little break this time and made a trip to HMP Studios in Moulton. The day got off to a great start. Kal-el and I woke up early and headed out the door with Mimsy in tow to retrive munchkins superman smash cake from The Victorian Tea Room. I was so delighted with the results but then again they never disapoint! After the little cake was secure in the car our next stop was to have a superman balloon blown up that I ordered and to purchase some matching balloons for his pictures. Talk about a busy day. I didn't really consider the fact that I'd have to actually drive with the floating abstractions in the car. Not to meantion the fact that we were in Moms car and I had to hear "Please don't wreck" no less than 1,000 times! We had orginally loaded up in mine but it decided that it wouldnt start on this important day and Chris bear had already left for work in his so we just prayed for the best and headed out. It seemed like there were so many balloons we probably could of just floated home on them! We finally arrived home safely and had just one hour to "rest" before Daddy got home them we woud be photoshoot bound! Chris and I had quite a time dressing a very whiny little boy in his argyle emsomble. Luckily we left on time and didn't forget anything! Reference our last road trip if you will and you may recall that I got made fun of for printing off directions on Mapquest while Chris used his very fancy cell phone new school gadgets to guide our way. This event of course repeated itself. I'll will always print directions like a grandma Chris try and stop me :) haha. We arrived on time and I was very excited to put my little model to work. Our photographers name was April. She was so lovely, kind, and an absolute pleasure to work with not to meantion extreamly talented! Kal-el had a nap on the car ride down so he was ready to be the center of attention and perform a little. This shoot was a complete success. I wouldnt change a thing. I was so proud of my baby boy. The last set of pictures with the smash cake was so much fun but I must say I was rather suprised that Super didn't drive head first into the cake. Instead he was a bit precautious in his approach, eating small bites at a time. He did manage to stick his foot in the cake and then preceeded to eat a piece off on his big toe. Super cute. We wrapped everything up in one hour. It really did go perfectly. His pictures will be ready for viewing in 2-3 weeks. I'm on the edge of my seat. I can hardly wait to see the results. After we got home Mimsy offered to keep Kal-el so Chris and I could go to dinner. We went to Georges, the place where we got engaged 4 years ago. How romantic. We endured several jokes from Nannie warning us not to produce any more offspring on our visit. The usual family jeering lol.We had such a nice dinner. We don't get to do that much so it was a very nice treat. We wrapped up our date and headed home to our little man. We all snuggled up in our pjs and fell fast asleep. Nothing in the whole world beats Saturdays with my family. These kind of days bring me immeasurable happiness! Can't wait to show off his pics..stay tuned :)
