It still amazes me how fast little ones grow and change. I must say that 15 months of age as been such a treat. I adore this age! Kal-el is such a fun, energetic, independent toddler. Here are the latest developments in his world :)
-Super now points to EVERYTHING he wants. Might I mention that he is VERY sure of what he wants and he will quickly let you know with a series of very robust protests if you so happen to place the incorrect desired object into his sweet little awaiting hand! lol
- He is climbing more than ever, which is a little scary for Mom's here! He loves his truck and is constantly in and out of it. He will often climb out of it to pull up his hood and inspect his "engine." He usually puts stuffed friends in the backseat so they can enjoy the ride.
-Three new words have found their way into Kal-el's vocabulary!
1) " Hey! "-is so nice to hear when you sit on the couch beside him or first walk through the door. He does it in such a cute, flirty way and often giggles after he says it.
2) "Look"- Is usually shouted after the finger point when he sees something he likes.
3)"Baooon" aka Balloon- He loves them! We still have one floating in our living room from the 4th of July because he is currently obsessed with them. Everytime we make a trip to Wal-Mart he looks up towards the ceiling, points and gets very excited. My poor baby never had a chance, if you saw his first birthday party you know that there were HUGE balloons everywhere. It took 2 SUV's to get them all to the party location! This obsession is more than likely my fault!
- Super is a danceing machine. Seriously, he is so musically inclined. It's unreal. He has been waveing his hand in the air to music for a while now but recently he has added some rather fancy leg combos to the mix. We watch "So You Think You Can Dance?" in the evenings and he loves it. On more than one occasion he mimics what he sees to the best of his abilities. He even trys out some of the comtemporary dance styles which usually involve him rolling around on the floor and raising one leg at a time. Too sweet!
- We have got to start the Ferber Method again, last time he got sick he ended up back in bed with us. Our sweet boy is a total bed hog. We all sleep better when he is in his crib but the inital adjustment is just hard on the three of us!
- When he is put in his crib, and just can't stand it any longer he makes the funniest little half cry/half shreek sound. These unique vocals of his have earned him an endearing nickname... Pterodactyl! as Chris and I lovingly call him.
- When Chris and I watch tv at night, if we are not on the same sofa Super will travel back and forth delivering kisses to us, however the minute you ask him for a kiss..he laughs and ceases all sugar lol little ham :)
- When we serve him food that he is less than crazy about he feeds himself one bite, then proceeds to get a sneaky look on that handsome little face of his, and when he thinks we aren't looking he hands TWO bites over to Ginger. Ginger is looking very healthy these days!
-He takes a sippy cup every night in my lap right before bedtime. He always "shares" it with me and if I look like I'm fakeing and not really getting a sip he waits until I have convienced him that I've had enough before he returns it to his mouth for another sip.
- Watermelons are his new favorite fruit. Yummy!
- And last but not least when he is dining on food he enjoys, he blows on warm food before he puts the bite in his mouth to make sure it's cool enough. He has obviously seen Chris and I do this countless times.
