Saturday, after our trip to Wal-mart, Kal-el and I took a little detour through Spring Park on our way home. Super was almost asleep so my driving was doing the trick or so I thought. As we made our way around the circle he little eye lids went from droopy to wide eyes as he spotted the DUCKS! I literally had to circle the park five times. I knew that we couldn't get out and I felt bad but I had groceries that would ruin not to mention I was in 5 inch heels. He finally got over the "duckies" long enough for me to get home but that that evening it started all over again. This sweet boy had those "duckies" he saw on the brain. Chris was on the road but I knew he'd be back the following day I just didn't know what time. Our orginal plans for Sunday involved going to a family reunion/birthday party for Poppa's sister. We don't see that side of the family much so I was really looking forward to it minus the heat. Chris ended up getting home just before it started so we opted against rushing to get ready and waking sleeping babies up. Besides, Logan hasn't had his shots yet and I didn't want to hurt anyones feelings because I would be leaving him in the carrier with everyone wanting to hold him. Chris and I decided on a less stressful route(hahaha this makes me laugh wildly now) of taking Kal-el to Spring Park to see his beloved ducks!
We headed out with bottles of water, a 100lb puppy (McCoy) and a wild child toddler with the heat index set at 105 and like crazy people we made our way to the park. This is a fine example of how desperate you are to get out of the house after giving birth. Logan stayed behind with Nannie and Poppa. LOL He's smarter than us already. Once we arrived we headed over to see the ducks per Kal-el's
demand request. We spent half the time trying to keep him far away from the water as we safely could. Super's fearlessness scares me to death. He loved tossing bread into the water for them. He wouldn't let do it much. He kept yelling "My duckies, my bread, MINE. Yes, Kal-el EVERYTHING is yours how silly of us lol. Once our bread was gone and we pried him away from his feathered friends we made our way over to the swings. We had planned on riding the train, carousel etc but it became obvious very quickly that it was too HOT to do anything else. So after a failed attempt at the swings we decided to grab a cold treat and head back to the comfort of our cool home. Everyone got treats including McCoy except for moms here because I'm on a low carb diet post baby diet. I just had to pretend my diet coke was other things! Just as we finished and started making our way back to Chris's truck, Kal-el decided that leaving the ducks behind didn't agree with him. Holy terror fit ensues. The throw your self on the ground with everyone watching variety. Nice. My attempts at picking him up off the ground were met with head butts and other brute force. Chris had to finally restrain him and carry him to the car. I started laughing. God help me. I think I was delirious from the heat because it wasn't a bit funny. Chris and I were both drained and agreed it might be a while before we head to the park again. lol We had planned on taking Super to Build- A- Bear in Huntsville because he loves bears and lights up when the commercial comes on. Maybe the bears will play more nicely with us than the "duckies" did. We'll just have to. Love our wild man there is NEVER a dull moment with him!

Coy wanted some bread to :)
LOL nice hair momma
Kal-el even found it amusing
And of course ALL the birds came right up to the animal whisperer ate out of his hands.. No surprise there!
