Standing Ovation!

It happened. Just like that.... he stood. Our sweet, laid back Logan decided he was over the all fours business and started pulling up right before our eyes. It was like he'd been doing it for weeks. The only give away that it was a brand new event was his precious reaction. He was thrilled with his new found independence and squealed with delight as he looked down at his feet and adorable chubby legs. He refused to sit down for awhile and opted just to giggle and relish in the moment. Sweet baby. He was as happy as we were. I feel like I can relax a little more now because I was concerned and honestly preoccupied with this milestone over the last few weeks. I've learned that he follows his clock not mine and that's perfectly fine with me :)
A couple of days ago Chris and I took the boys swimming at Aunt Shane's house. We had such a blast that I forgot to take a single picture. Kal-El has swimming lessons that began later this month so I wanted to get him used to being in a pool before they started. I was afraid he would be either completely fearless or completely apprehensive in regards to the water but he fell somewhere in the middle. Maybe there is hope for his poor instructor. He referred to the pool as "the hole". I hope he's kind and eager to swim in "the hole" on the 23rd. We were all tired when we arrived home and I thought it might be the perfect time to re-introduce the sippy cup to Logan. He's adamantly refused it since two weeks before his first birthday. We've offered it and tried every brand under the sun but he was just so all about his beloved bottle he wouldn't have any part of it. I took advantage of the situation and figured he would want to get hydrated after our evening swim. It paid off because he worked to get the milk out and he hasn't looked back since. Bitter sweet. We are bottle free. I'm happy for my little man. He's really getting this ONE year old thing down.He gets a big standing O for the sippy and.... well ...standing! I better sit back and relax a little because I know once he starts walking I'll be one tired Mommy!
"Mom COOOOOME OOOOON with the flash already!" LOL
Ok, last one.....love you sweet boy!

  1. Yay! Go Logan! That is awesome. He graduated from the bottle to the sippy and is now standing. What a big boy. Just think Mom, soon he'll be walking! :]
