Welcome Home Nannie!

  My sweet grandmother finally got to come home from rehab last week. Since that time we have just been taking it day by day. She still has a long road ahead of her and we've got to get all her medications worked out but she's home with the people she loves at least. My mom and aunts have been rotating spending the nights with my grandparents so my grandfather doesn't have to do it alone. Nannie does not walk on her on yet and is still very weak but we have a lot of hope with continued therapy she will regain some of her strength. Thats our prayer anyway. Each day Chris, the boys and I pay her a visit. The kids are probably too loud but her entire face lights up when they walk in the room so I know she loves it. She asks for them daily. Kal-El picks her flowers everyday. Since we live next door to them the walkway in between our homes is starting to look pretty bare...lots of sticks and stems ...not many flowers left! Today he managed to pull a rather large stem'y' branch out and refused to let me cut it stating "it would make Nannie sad" I didn't argue with him. So into the house with the tree he went. She was pleased with her mini tree :) This has been a long week for everyone and I admire the strength of every member of our family and how each of us bring something different to the table during this difficult time. We will be by Nannies side every step of her recovery!
