I never thought I'd see the day when I would be a little behind on posting! SO sorry. Starting my new party planning venture has take up alot of my time lately. Hopefully once things get launched I can get back to what I love the absolute MOST. Sharing the stories from our lives!
For as long as I can remember I have rescued turtles and other critters from the middle of the road. There are lots of wooded areas near our home so there is never a shortage of animals "crossing the road to get to the other side" My goal was to have them NOT get to the other side in a figurative way lol! A couple of weeks ago when Chris was on his way to train he rescued a large turtle and actually took it to the training facility with him. He called me and ask me to bring the boys by for a look. I couldn't help but laugh once the boys and I arrived. There were grown men petting and playing with the turtle instead of punching each other! ;) At first Kal-El wanted absolutely nothing to do with the turtle. It didn't take long for him to go from cold to warm with turtle affection. Chris and I made the mistake of bringing him home with us to release him safely into nature from home. The release part of the catch and release agenda is were the problem lied for Super. He went from not making eye contact with the little guy to screaming about how "He's MINE" "I LOVE him!" It was extremely dramatic and over the top. Poor little guy. Eventually, after a few sit downs and not much of a voice left Kal-El decided his pet turtle could go back to the woods to find his mommy and daddy. He was over it in five minutes and a happy little boy again but I couldn't resist documenting his protests before it got to that point. Poor baby wanted a pet turtle <3 p="p">3>
Chris "The Turtle Whisper" Borquez lol ;)
"Hey where you guys taking him?!"
