Tax Day, Eye Appointments, and Birdcages!

Yesterday Chris and I carried the boys with us to file taxes, a concept that Kal-El did NOT understand. Poor baby. In his mind we were all going to get shots. He made the connection from "tacks" the kind I use to work on my backdrops. Although I'm not sure why because I always refer to them as push pins. The wait was forever long of course and I missed several hilarious picture opportunities while we waited for our turn . I pulled out my camera fully charged but no memory card present..grrrrrrr I hate when that happens! There was a little boy there that tried to make friends with Super. Kal-El wasn't exactly responsive to his requests despite my urgent pleas for him to be social as the child's grandmother observed. K told him more than once "dont pet me or touch me Im not a dog". He even fell out off the back of his chair and screamed Im ok before he even hit the floor as two elderly men laughed. Great times. I had never been so happy to be called back somewhere.  Once we were squared away with the federal government we had a yummy lunch at Ricebox where both boys literally cleaned their plates. They are getting big way to fast.
Chris had an eye appointment earlier today and being the gluttons for punishments we are we went as a family ;) The boys played in one of the little rooms but when Kal-El started to demand that no one was going to stick a needle in his Daddy's eye, the boys and I took a detour to Wal-Mart and arranged to pick Chris back up after the exam. I feel bad that he's become of fixated with shots but I guess thats what happens when the last THREE times you think a doctors appointment will not involve a shot but then it does. :( He quickly forgot all about his fathers woes when I mentioned a trip to Hobby Lobby once Chris was back in the car with us. Chris opted out and offered to keep Logan so Super and I could hunt some bird cages! My child loves trips to Hobby Lobby. Just when I thought he couldnt get anymore like me! When I told him we were looking for decorative bird cages he insisted that it should come with a bird as well. Uh oh. I almost knew he would get in the Hobby and have a melt down. He didn't. At least not in regards to the bird cages. He did however display some major jealously when I spoke to another little and smiled sweetly at him. He said the following with a frowned brow and pouty lips "Why you smile pretty and say hey to that boy...hes not yours!" LOL I love my little robust men <3 br="">
Excuse the cell phone quality pics :)
