Kal-El had his four year well check last week. This of course involves the dreaded immunizations. I tried not to bring it up all week and save the conversation until the morning of. Super is a smart kid and caught on really quickly that I was not telling the TRUTH about him not getting a shot. I didn't exactly lie when I told him "Dr. Melvin doesn't give shots he just talks to you" All of that is true. Nevermind the mean nurses, I kid, I kid ;)
I was THRILLED that Chris was off and could take us to the appointment. I really am not sure I could of handled this one alone. Kal-El takes strong willed to another level. He made Chris and I laugh the entire time bc he literally was giving us the evil eye the entire visit and daring us to laugh or so much as smile at him LOL! He was excellent with Dr. Melvin and did great thru his exam. I felt so bad for him when he stood up brushed off his legs and said "Ok time for some gummy worms and a toy for meeeee" PRIOR to the nurse making her entrance. Oh boy did it go down hill from there! He scremed the following at me while getting his sharp protection from child hood diseases "I HATE being FOUR, I HATE YOU PARTIES, AND I HATE SCOBBY DOO PARTY" I dont even think the shot hurt he was just mad at me. Then comes the drama. Chris had to physically carry Kal-El's 95th percentile behind to the car. He started walking on his own like a stiff legged pirate and cracking the entire staff up and then turn to Chris and said " Oh my legs, they dont work anymore, you'll have to carry me...and then sighed really loudly. DRAMA. His legs worked great in the wal mart isle while he shopped for toys ;) Excuse the cell phone quality!
