Getting Settled!

Whew! I knew moving would be a bit of a daunting task but good grief I'm tired.  I KNOW Chris is to! He along with the help of a couple of friends single handedly relocated us, our extremely heavy furniture, two sweet kiddos, a paint obsessing wife, and 3 dogs. Basically a zoo got transferred from Colbert to Lauderdale county in 48 hours! Chris has also been called out to work non stop sense we moved. He has worked so hard to get everything done. I don't have a clue how he does it but I sure am grateful for him and love him to pieces! We have also painted every room in the entire house but two. We really could of never pulled that part off without Mom and Larry's help.
I love, love, love our new subdivision! Its quiet, peaceful, and the neighbors all seem like such wonderful people. We are close to everything! I'm not sure if that's going to be good for our debit cards but its so awesome to be close to stores now!
I have so much I want to do décor wise. I need to slow down, pace myself, and realize it cant be done overnight. There are lots of things on the to do list..like putting hardwood down in our bedrooms, building a bookcase on each side of the fireplace, and a rustic chandelier for the guest bedroom. All in time though. Most of the things I want you can't just go out and buy so that is the tricky part about liking some artistic things for sure. The living room is the area I want to do the Shabby Spanish Cottage style. The walls are shaker beige and Im seriously in love with this neutral. Its neither warm nor cool..its just fabulous. I may not love colors on the walls but that's not to say I don't love colors..red is going to be used heavily throughout  the living room. I love the idea of feminine slipcovers, embroidered accents pillows, then red Spanish inspired décor. I think my favorite accents pieces will be canvas prints of my babies. Cant lie about that! They are more beautiful than anything I could stick on a wall! :)
Kal-El is in love with his room. He slept in it the first night we were here. Now hes saying he wants to take turns. Fine with us! Sounds like a healthy balance.

As you can see the boys room and our bedroom is nowhere close to being finished but we are moved! Window treatments are needed, Logan's Wolverine bed items and picture must be ordered but we are making process daily and the boys are super well adjusted and absolutely love it here!

                                                    LOL!

Had to include several pictures of the boys sense Im still waiting on the desktop and Wordless
isn't looking too promising in the mean time! :0)
