Happy Halloween 2012!

 Last night Chris and I took the boys out for a little Trick or Treating! We made sure to stop by each family members home so they could see our little pirate and parrot :) We all had an awesome time. My favorite line of the night was when we  pulled into our first stop, the village neighborhood, and Chris asked Kal-El if he would share his candy...Super looked right at him and said "Nope sorry Daddy its all for me NONE for you!" We laughed so hard because he said it so politely! I carried the stroller for Logan because I knew with him being a brand new walker that we would still end up carrying him a lot. Sooo glad we brought it! Super loved the idea of going door to door for "treats" however he didn't love actually saying Trick or Treat. He opted to just hold out his bag. When I told him that was rude he replied "I not rude , I shy!" LOL sweet boy! We started at Nannie's house then made our way to Mimsy's, then Aunt Vickis, and finally Aunt Shane's house. Kal-El got to be on the other end of the door at Aunt Shane's because they have quite a few trick or treaters in their neighborhood. He did NOT like the idea of handing candy out to other children. He cried out in anger and ranted about us "wasting" it. He wasn't shy about saying that! We had a great night. I just wish I had more skittles to steal out of bags! ;)

We Have A Walker!

 A walker is in our house just in time for Halloween ;) Dr. Melvin sure did call it right when he said Logan would be walking in 2 weeks. He started a couple of days just shy of that and boy are we proud of him! It may have taken 16 months but he's making up for lost time! It's like he's been doing it for awhile. For about a week prior to take off he would take about 4 solo steps then stop THEN the day I took Super to the pumpkin patch Chris text me with the news that he was taking alot more than 4 steps. I could hardly wait to get him to witness my sweet boy in motion. I have to say he doesn't even look real walking. Almost like a wind up baby doll. It's beyond precious!! I'll try to upload a video but in the mean time here are some pictures of his new found skill in action! :)

Capes & Crowns- Fall Harvest Play Date!

 This year I decided I would try to get at least one styled shoot photographed for Capes & Crowns. Donna of Swish printables Designs contacted me and shared some of her new printables with me and informed me I was welcome to use those for any upcoming parties I had in the works. I loved her fall collection. Everyone else had lots of Halloween type themes already going so I wanted to go a more traditional route. I love Fall so a Fall Harvest party seemed like the perfect idea. I wanted it to be very low key and simplistic but very fun and festive as well. I decided to do a play date theme held at one of our local pumpkin patches. The Belue Place Pumpkin Patch is my favorite pumpkin patch so it was the perfect place to host this little gathering and the ladies that own the patch were so kind to allow us to set up there. Danielle and I had a blast riding down together and listening to our kiddos chat in the back seat while we did the same up front. Kal-El and Charlie were our little models for the day and I must say they did an excellent job! Rachel made some of her fabulous goodies again. My favorite were her french macarons. Pumpkin and chocolate ganache! They fit the theme so well. I can't think of a better way to spend the last week of the pumpkin patch being open than with an awesome fall harvest themed play date.
