Kal-el got signed!
Well sort of. I have been agent shopping for Kal-el for a couple of weeks now and I'm happy to say that we have a winner. Ironically it's the same agency that I was signed with for a short time. It's in the Nashville market, which houses the only decent agencies in the south other than Atlanta (which is too far a drive for us). I'm really excited for him but at the same time we are not expecting alot of work at this time due to the market being small for children under 3. I was told, however, that they love his look and want to keep a file on him so when companies call needing toddler models they can give as an immedate call. I have to send updated pictures in the mail every 2 months, and keep them up to date on his clothing sizes as they change. Then they want to have him come in for a meeting before he turns four. I've given this alot of thought and Chris and I talked about it at length before we decided to give this a try. I had nothing but positive experiences from my modeling days and really enjoyed meeting new people and doing a little bit of traveling. My hope is that if we do a little of this now it will insteal confidence at an early age but the second I find out he isn't enjoying himself or is uncomfortable the plug gets pulled. I never want to be one of those parents that trys to force direction on a child to the point where it renders them unable to enjoy their childhood. I also don't want to turn him into a prima donna or make him sissy'fied (lol if thats a word.) I always want him to have humility and respect for others. Since I know a good deal about the industry first hand I'm aware of all the misconceptions that people have and sadly most are far from the truth. Instealing values in a child starts at home, a little commerical here and there or a print add doesn't change someone if they have the proper foundation laid at an early age. I would never be one of those pagent moms who glues eyelashes or spray tans on a three year old. Children should be children and have balance in their lives. This will be just one aspect in our lives and it will certainly not be the primary focus. It will take a major back seat to things like spirituality, family time, education and so forth. Overall I think this will be a fun learning experience for Super if and when it takes off. Wish us luck! :)

Happy Birthday to Meeeee!
Well technically my birthday is not until Wednesday but that didn't stop our bunch from starting the festivities early! This weekend has been nothing short of wonderful. I feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends that love and choose to celebrate little old me. :) Friday night Mimsy treated me to a trip to the mall so that I could get my nails done. It's been forever since I've had any and it was such a nice, thoughtful suprise. I love them..I can't really type now....lol...but I love them! Kal-el and Mimsy looked around in the mall while they waited on me. I was a little antsy at first with him not next to me but my silly fears subsided as soon as I realised that I could hear him( no matter his exact location) all over the mall. He has become such a talker, but only if you don't look at him. If you approach his highness he may not speak at all and will most likely hide his face! Funny man. After my sexy claws were glued to my finger tips we headed home for a little R&R before Saturday's events.
Chris and I woke up early Saturday morning with toddler feet on our foreheads. Yep, we obviously haven't started Ferber'ing again. We will get there. In the mean time we welcomed the early wake up call because alot had to be done that day! Chris headed off to work and Kal-el and I started getting ready to go with Mimsy to run birthday errands. I wont go into all the high drama details but my orginal cake that we picked up had to be completely redone. Yikes! It seems to always happen to us. No biggie though, we got everything straightened out with only minor set backs. We somehow ended up back at the mall, which is also a very obvious reoccuring event. Gosh, wonder how much we would frequent that place if we actually had a decent mall and more money to spend! Kal-el racked up on some new shoes after his poor little sandles got left behind in the hot car to become distorted. Mimsy and I decided at the last minute that it would be really cute to match all of our apperal to the birthday colors. Score! I'm all about it. Not sure how my husband would feel being that my birthday color was PINK this year but he is a good sport(that looks super hawt in pastels) and Super is much too young to object so began the pink shirt quest! We were able to find two shirts in no time for the boys. Since Chris bear didn't get off until 7 and the party started at 7:30 we went ahead and dropped his shirt off to him so he wouldn't have any excuse not to wear the shirt to my party :) Finally, our last stop of the day...Balloons..yep you know how we roll. Gotta have them. We barely get them home everytime and it takes everyone in the car to watch for traffic but balls of helium always make their presence known at our little events. We got home in time to insure that Kal-el was able to get his evening nap then it was off to Rancho Viejo to enjoy my family and friends at my birthday dinner. I will let the pictures prove what a blast we had. Thanks Super , Chris Bear, Mimsy, Nannie, Poppa, Aunt Shane and Raymond, Aunt Vicki and Harold, Zack and Lea, Haley and Mr. Williams, Miles, Lisa and their two sweet boys you all made my birthday very special. I love you all! Now someone please hurry up and tell me I don't look my age..you have until Wednesday.
