Today is our Anniversary!
Chris and I got married two years ago today, but he has been the love of my life for a total of 6 years. I couldn't of been paired with a more perfect mate. I love him dearly and we balence each other out so well. I am greateful that we found each other in this huge world and I thank God for our little family.
We have decided to celebrate our anniversary later this month after Chris's upcoming fight this weekend. He has been working really hard to cut weight and I want him to actually be able to enjoy food at dinner. I would never claim to have figured out everything there is to know about love or marriage but I do know one thing for sure. We have a deep, sincere love and whether we are in a castle or a cardboard box there is no one else in the world that I would want to go through this life with. He is my best friend. My support system. We are each others biggest fans and as long as I have him by my side I know we can face whatever storms life throws our way as long as we do it together. Love is so much more than a candlelight dinner and a flower or gift here in there. To me, love is understood best and defined most when you are in the trenches, when you have risen above adversity and you still stand strong. We have certainly had our share of obstacles but most importantly we haven't let those define us. To say that he is my soulmate might sound cliche but its true and any other word wouldn't carry enough weight. He as seen me in every state, and I him and it has only made what we have stronger. We have cared for each other through sickness, lost loved ones and hard times. We have laughed and cried together. To top it all off we still have that spark and amazing chemisty that we shared in the beginning. He gave me the best gift ever when I became a mother in 2009.We became an even better team after Kal-el was born. I had always heard stories of how everything shifts and your relationship with your spouse is not the same. I'm glad that everyone has a different experience because we certainly did. I guess much of it had to do with the fact that we always saw ourselves with a large family so it's just a part of who we are. He even made me feel like the most beautiful women in the world when I was super HUGE during my pregnancy. I know he will make me feel that way even when we are old and gray and playing with our grandchildren. He will always be "home" to me ...wherever we are. So today is a day to celebrate us and the love that we share ....yesterday, today, tomorrow...forever. I love you Chris "Bear".

Book Of the Month Selection- "Llama llama mad at momma"
This month's selection has got to be one of the most adorable childrens books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It may even be my favorite. Mommy llama takes baby llama on a shopping spree that he would rather not have been a part of. A temper tantrum ensues and Mommy llama must calm baby llama down a bit and reassure him that shopping is almost done and he will soon be home where he can play. She confides to him that she doesn't like shopping all that much either but certain errands had to be taken care before they could call it a day. Everytime I read this book I can't help but think of the similarities between the llamas and Kal-el and I. It seems like we do an awful lot of shopping and I've been lucky in that I have a happy shopping buddy who very rarely has "llama drama fits" in the mall. I'm sure the previous statement has totally jinxed me! :) I highly recommend all the books in the Llama series but this is my personal favorite and the perfect fun book for mommy's of little boys :)

Super Surprises!
I guess it comes as no real suprise that we adore any type of Superman merchandize. I mean we are the parents of Superman you know! :) Incase you don't already know Kal-el is the real name of Superman and OUR Kal-el is the superhero of our hearts. It would stand to reason that there would be an abundance of Superman toys/collectables all over our home but they can actually be a bit hard to find. Just last week we received the sweetest gift in the mail from my Aunt Sandra. Kal-el was so excited when he opened his suprise and found a very large stuffed Superman. If you will recall from a previous post Kal-el once had a major adversion to the man of steel. Well, those days are no more. He LOVED this softer version. Also enclosed was an adorable Superman custume for munckin to model. His only other Superman apperal was a pair of pjs that were much too small at 24 months size. So now he can once again get suited up and the fun can continue.

Fun Saturday with Beth!
We had such a great day yesterday. Chris, Kal-el, and I made our way over to Athens to visit "Aunt" Beth, Jason, and Zac. We've had our little get together planned for about a month. Beth is one of my very best friends and we love to visit her and her sweet family. We grilled out during the day and watched the Anderson Silva that night. Jason made some spectacular ribs and kept the boys entertained while Beth and I did some catching up. Kal-el had so much fun. He got to play with Zac and run wild all day. Chris and Zac had a little bonding time as well. Chris took delight in shooting me with Zac's toy guns. Super ran all over the house picking up the little bullets and handing them off to us. He didn't sit down for longer than 5 mins! He broke his own record for longest running time without a nap...EVER. Seriously, this child only laid down for a 45 min block the entire day. When we left after midnight he was still awake! He finally passed out in the car after quite the fight . We have got to get him back on the schedule where he is asleep at 9:30! The fight was great, the food was better, but the friends were the bestest of all! :) I really do wish we lived closer. Always a possibility but in the mean time we will just have to enjoy these monthly adventures! Thanks for having us Beth, Jason, and Zac. We love you guys!
Sweet, flirty man on the car ride over.
The picture best depicts his energy level ALL day :)
Yummy!
The prefights lol :)
My oldest son ;)
The ONLY 30 min nap all day!
