A Shrimp Boil Birthday for Uncle Raymond!

Saturday we celebrated Raymond's birthday with a shrimp boil. We've done many shrimp boils as a family in years past so it was so nice to have one again. The boys had a great time and enjoyed playing at Aunt Shane's house. Super was a party pooper and refused to try the shrimp..sooo unlike him. He will usually sample anything! He's loss ;) We ended our celebrations with some indridable deserts. Aunt Shane made a Paula Dean orginal...a triple chocolate cherry cobbler. Yep it was as good as it sounds! Larry also made a fabulous pumpkin cheesecake. Not a very fun day to be on a diet. I hope Raymond enjoyed his birthday as much as we all enjoyed celebrating it with him! :)
I hate my camera got all grainy on me...Super rarely poses for pictures :)

Capes & Crowns!

I'm so excited to finally be able to share what I've been working on so diligently these past few weeks! Capes & Crowns is now official. It's no secret that I love to plan parties and throw quite a lot of them! It's so dear to me not only as an artistic, creative outlet but one that involves celebrating the people I love! My little party planning business venture is really sprouting wings and I couldn't be more excited! I really never thought it would all come together this quickly and I certainly never imagined that I would have so many of my parties featured. I found that because of having parties published previously that some really amazing people in the party industry already knew who I was. Talk about flattering. I also started to receive lots of emails and questions from friends and acquaintances. I thought it would be great timing to start the business up and offer my services to those near and dear to me. I wish I could throw a party everyday and I truly wish I could afford to do it for free but since I can't doing what I love and take pride in to the best of my ability, making sure that other precious kiddos have fabulous parties and their moms are a bit less stressed. A sure close second. My first client party will be A Very Hungry Caterpillar theme and I can't wait to share it! In the mean time I'll go ahead and share my business logos and blog header!

Super and The Mystery Fingers :)

Last week Kal-El and I took a little trip to see Dr. Melvin. He didn't act sick and had no fever but the ends of his fingers were so dry looking. Not only dry but red and wrinkled looking. The way little fingers looked after a full day of swimming...the only problem was we haven't been swimming. I debated carrying him at all but I knew that skin issues could be a secondary symptom of strep throat and I really didn't want to take that risk so in we went! I was so relieved that they let us sit in the well baby section since Super wasn't running a temp and presented with zero other symtoms. Whew! Just when we thought we were safe in walks a little boy with green mucus dancing out of his nostrils and which child does he want to play with? Of couse ..MINE! Sorry little buddy not today :)
Super ended up with a mild case of Eczema. I was glad it was nothing more. We were sent home with a topical steroid cream to be applied twice a day. My big boy is growing up. He was very interactive with Dr. Melvin and really didn't mind going to the doctor. He seemed to quite enjoy it lol. His mothers child! At one point before Dr. Melvin walked in he didn manage to bark the following orders at me "Mommy, das enough pictures on me puleeze put you camera up!" Never ever son. Forget. About. It. Cutie. Pie. ;)
                   He's getting so tall <3 p="p">
   All clear :)

Mimsy Moves Nearby :)

A couple of weeks ago Mom and Larry moved just down the road from us. We love having them nearby again! They are building a house in the next year but in the mean time they found a great rental house on the same block as their lot :) The major perk is having us so close though lol! It is no secret that I hog my kiddos. I can't help it...I love them and they are only little for such a short time. In spite of mother bear Kal-El and Logan have managed to have quite a few play days down the road and thru the woods at the grandparents house! Super's favorite thing about going is bath time in Mimsy's extra big bath tub and hunting zombies in the woods behind her house. Yes, you read that correctly. Kal-El has zombies on the brain. He's obsessed with Scooby Doo and loves to scare himself silly ;) I hope Chef Larry & Mimsy know that the boys and I will over for lots of yummy suppers, playdates, and zombie hunting of course!

These pictures were taken on grandparents day :)
