Christmas Eve Day & Night! :)

Christmas Eve started of with Chris Bear getting off mid day! I wasn't expecting him until later in the evening so it was a nice surprise. We decided to take the boys outside for the evening and let them play on their new swing set. To say they loved it would be a huge under statement! They had a wonderful time and we had an even better time just watching them. The weather is very rainy with anticipated  storms on Christmas so I'm glad we took advantage on a dry day for an early Christmas surprise. I got some super sweet shots of them in action but I'll save those for wordless tomorrow.
Once the sun started going down we took the boys in got them in their pj's and sat down for a family movie. We watched How To Train Your Dragon while we made Santa's candy cane cookies. Super was an awesome little helper. Logan turned in early but Kal-El was bouncing off the walls anticipating  Santa's arrival! Once we got both superheros tucked in bed Chris and I helped Santa lay out the boys gifts. The funniest part of the night was before Kal-El went to sleep he reminded me again to please but batteries in his dream lite toy...he saw it in the closet earlier in the week ;)
Green and yellow of course :)
Helping me mix the dough for Santa's cookies!
                                "Santa's coming I'm not sleeping Mommy...NEVER!"
                              Finishing Up the Cookies :)

Christmas Festivities Part 2 : Lunch At Aunt Shane's House

We've had lots of gatherings this year with the family for Christmas! I've enjoyed it so much. We had Christmas brunch this past Saturday with the entire extended family at Aunt Shane's house. I didn't take near the pictures that I normally do because my sweet Logan took a nasty little tumble and his tooth went thru his lip a little...OUCH! He's much better now and has only a small ulcer as a reminder. Still, I think he cried more about wanting down to play while we were holding him down trying to inspect the damage. In spite of his fall the boys had a great time being with our family and it was great getting together a little early and still having Santa's visit to look forward to!
