Being the Borquez's: Happy Birthday Superman!

Today is Kal-El's 4th birthday! We have been talking about it all week :D Chris and I told him he could pick where we ate for lunch today. He originally asked for Taco Bell but later changed it to Ryans because he wanted "desserts and lots of rolls" ;) He got his wish! He has been so dramatic about turning 4. No huge surprise there! ;) He has told me several times that he's "mad at four and wants to kick its butt"..along with a pouty " I'll never see 3 again" statement. I havent had time to get all mushy on him today because he's having a harder time adjusting than I am LOL! This hysterical little boy is the absolute light of my world. There isnt a day that goes by that he doesnt tell me that I'm his "beautiful bestfriend" He's precious, charming, witty and I literally love he and his brother more each day. He is so much like me that its scary sometimes...even though he is his Daddy's twin. We really are best friends :)
We had almost all of the family stop by Ryan's for Kal-El's lunch. Aunt Vicki and Harold had already eaten so they met up with us later for cake at Nannie and Poppa's house. In between lunch and cake Chris, the boys and I as well as Mom and Larry headed to Hobby Lobby to pick out some toys for Super. I just knew he'd pick a paint set. He chose a little monster trucks that you could paint and decorate. He's such a boy with my craft skills mixed in! We made our way back to Nannie's and Poppa's to eat the yummy almond cake my mom made. It was a super sweet and delicious cake. Kal-El saw the 'S' on it and said..I'm not an S Im a 4 today! So maybe he's coming around to the idea! I know he will be thrilled when he sees his Scooby party on Sunday and will probably more than welcome the notion by then!
Kal-El you are an amazing little human and I'm proud to call you my son. I've never once been bored with you or longed to do anything else with my time. Its hard for me to go anywhere without hearing your little voice in my back seat. I've never yearned to go back to the days of my youth or accomplish something the world deeps as great for YOU are my greatest joy and you and your little brother and our little family is what I take the most pride in. Long before I ever had you I dreamed of becoming a mother and you little best friend made all my dreams come true. Happy 4th Birthday Thomas Kal-El Borquez. You are the superhero of my heart <3 p="">
