We made the 3.5 hour drive Wednesday at noon. Chris drove while I refereed the backseat ;) We arrived at the farm just in enough time to quickly unpack and then it was on the road again for another hour to make it for our dinner reservations at a restaurant called Patti's. Mom and Larry had been wanting to take us there for awhile. It was YUMMY and so worth the wait. The restaurant setting and décor and even the little town around it were so pleasant and enchanting. The best way I could describe it would be a more whimsical upscale Cracker Barrel meets a more personalized Gatlinburg, TN. Delightful eatery :) They even had a mint chocolate dessert among many amazing others. That fact alone sold Chris Borquez lol! We had planned on catching a movie as a mini date when we got back to the farm but we were all tired and stuffed when we returned.
We woke up the next morning and let Super ride the tractor and Rhino. It reminded me of our last trip bc we once again had to bundle up and I failed to bring enough apparel...we got to sport camo again lol! After a few hours rest, a brief choke on an apple that caused me to have to both hit Kal-El in the back as well as take a valium( ugh scary ) we were headed out for Scooby! I think I enjoyed it as much the boys! Logan sat through the entire show and loved it. It took a little while for Kal-El to warm up to it but once he did he was hooked! I only got one picture of the show itself..I got in trouble by one of the staff. I turned my flash off but they still wouldnt let me lol! I'm so glad that we were able to enjoy this little get a way. The next count down is for the Scooby Doo party. I have all the inspiration I need at this point! :)
Sounds like a fun trip! =D
