Kal-El's First Day of School!

Well the jury is still out on how we are going to like school but as a very first day I would say it went pretty well! Kal-El woke up really excited and ready to go. We were both able to get up early. Impressive for this house.  Mom came over bc Chris had to be at work. She watched Logan so I could walk Kal-El in and meet his teacher. When we got their we were the first ones there. When Mrs. Davis introduced herself Kal-El said "Hey there I like your name" Give me a break Super LOL! He hung his backpack up as she requested and found his name at a desk and had a seat. There was a piece of paper and he wrote his little name down without hesitation. About that time other parents were walking in and someone heard his name and his eyes lit up. "KAL-EL!!!" He said. I love meeting other comic geeks...I was beginning to think that no one at Underwood knew what a comic book or even a superhero was lol! I hated leaving him but honestly I ended up being in pretty good shape bc he literally didnt bat an eye over it. Mr. Independent. As I was walking out the door mouthing I love you I heard him still talking to his teacher and asking what time of day they went to the playground. :)
Speaking of play ground, mom and I totally stalked the school later in the day. Kal-El later told me he saw my car and cried to himself thinking about me. If this its true its pitiful but I swear hes saying that to make me feel good...bc I didnt see him take a break from basketball long enough to cry lol. Love him so much. Larry even made sure he had his very favorite food after school! Can you guess :) More than made up for the 2 cookies he had to throw away bc he didnt have time to eat them!  I would type more but we are late for football. I will definately update later in the week!
PS Logan had an amazing day as an only child. LOL!
                                     Playground stalkers!!! :)

Super Hero Updates!

These little boys are seriously waaaay more busy than Chris and I ever though about being! Kal-El starts school this Thursday. Umm yeah. Yall know me..that will require a separate blog post!  The are both doing so great though. I adore being their mother more than I could ever begin to express. The are literally my life!
Kal-El probably has the most updates bc he has so many activities going on right now. After baseball ended he really needed a sport in his life. By his choice not mine. This child loves sports. We put him back in jiu jitsu right away. He loves it and I hope he always does. Cant really say enough good things about it. I think it will make the journey of finding who he is life easier for him. A subject that is of utmost importance to me. If hes anything like me (and he is JUST like me) it will be a long/hard yet very meaningful/fulfilling road. He also started football this year. I was really on the fence about this one but he BEGGED. Honestly, I was more worried about heat related illnesses than sports injuries. We have only had a couple of practices but he is doing fantastic so far. I PROMISE to update as the season gets under way. I'm really very proud of him. A kid pushed him several times the first day. Kal-El didnt do anything bc he said "I didnt want to hurt him"....I wanted to cry..It was like watching the Man of Steel movie play out in real life. I had a good sit down with him afterwards and he stood up for himself the next day. He is so tender hearted like I am. His journey will be finding strength that he will need within himself to be assertive without being aggressive when needed. Been there buddy. xoxo He is so independent and has been counting down the days until school begins. There will be an update on that too. I'm both excited and nervous!
It wouldnt be a Kal-El blog post without a little attitude. He is really going to have to get OVER the fact that other people wear Superman shirts...even his mom lol!
Now for my Logan Bear. We are in a really successful yet challenging time with Wolvie. What I mean by that is he is continuing to make SO much progress on the language front. What comes with that is frustration on his part bc he understands now but cant fully express himself. He is just now hitting the challenging aspects of the "2's" even though he's three. I figure he is exactly one year behind. He has come leaps and bounds compared to where he started. I'm so very proud of him. The most difficult aspect of him being not quite caught up yet is his weight. If he were the size of an average 2 yr old I could hold up a little better psychically during meltdowns....but hes not. Heck, hes still in the 90% for a three year old. I need to hit the weights or something lol! I'm relieved that he is not on the spectrum. I would love him and be his biggest fan no matter but I understand ropes far better of ADHD bc of my background. I have no doubt that is what we are facing...we will definitely get it tackled as he gets older and help in anyone that we can. Seeing it first hand really makes me understand what a difference there is in an "excitable" 2-3 yr old and a real issue. He's literally the toughest person in this house...and the prettiest too. Cant wait til Kal-El reads this line one day LOL ;) He had his first dentist appointment and Chris and I were both amazed at how well he did. I really cant believe he sat in a chair that long!  He is still crazy for pizza and asks for it a good 3x per week. He easily puts away 5 pieces at a time. Zero clue where he puts it! He calls everyone in the family by name now and comprehends emotions and loves to comfort anyone that is upset. He is extremely affectionate to me and and wants me to lay in his little bed with him every night until he falls asleep. He walks up to me and says "Momma hand" I walk with him and he hops in the bed first then turns his covers down for me and says "here here" and points for me to lay down. He stares at my face until he falls asleep. Can I please just freeze him?!? So sweet! I look foward to having some one on one time with him while Super is at school. We are going to try our best to tackle potty training after we get fully adjusted to the school schedule. He will also begin a 2 day class of his own with Florence city for language. Its only a couple of hours but I hope he loves it.
Thats the latest on our lives! Hope to have more updates later in the week :)

Recaps For Chris and I!

Hello! :) Its me! I have so much blog catching up to do I dont even know where to start. We have all been too busy living life. I really dont have alot of sit down time anymore....ever! I wouldnt trade it for the world but blogging requires me to keep a camera charged, images shot then uploaded, and time to sit and actually type and compose said pictures. Yeah, thats a rarity these days for sure. The last month I blogged was June so Ill fill in on what our July and August have been like so far! :)
I turned 29 again for the 3rd time on the 21st ;) I had an amazing birthday with the family. We changed up the usual Fiesta and decided to go to Umi's. Everything was fabulous. Kal-El really impressed us with how open minded he is in regards to trying new things. He sampled and fell in love with Octopus....literally ate every bite....with chopsticks. I was impressed! I was also impressed with my cake this year....Harley Quinn...doesnt get anymore perfect than that! It was a great evening with my family. Chris and I even managed to sneak a date night movie in afterwards. Another rarity ;) Thats pretty much the only update for me with the exception of the latest issue of Mingle Magazine came out in July. The event that was featured this time was the yellow polka dot bikini beach playdate. Its still surreal to me that I've somehow managed to make my creative outlet something national magazine worthy all while staying at home and raising my little superheros. I do hate that it takes some time away from my blog but I have managed to find the perfect balance of work, and play. I love it bc its something they can enjoy WITH me. Thats SO important for me.
That covers updates for me I think! Chris has been training and working super hard for his next upcoming fight....which actually looks as though its not going to happen. Still, I dont want to forget what a lot our summer consisted of and for him that equals hard work. The fact that the dreaded "curse" as we have termed it reared its ugly head is inconsequential. While it may equal no upcoming fight due to lack of opponent it certainly doesnt diminish what he has done on his end...that makes him a winner to us....the people that count! We really enjoyed seeing him on the promotional poster. It makes Logan smile especially. He looks at it and says "Oh hi Chris" He uses Daddy and Chris interchangeably at this point! Super cute! Even if Chris "retires" from MMA fighting I know that jiu jitsu will always be a passion for him so I'll be more than ok if he just sticks to that and competes in tournaments. I'll support which ever he chooses though! I know one little boy that really does love doing what his daddy does :)
Blog for the boys coming up next :)
