Super Hero Updates!

These little boys are seriously waaaay more busy than Chris and I ever though about being! Kal-El starts school this Thursday. Umm yeah. Yall know me..that will require a separate blog post!  The are both doing so great though. I adore being their mother more than I could ever begin to express. The are literally my life!
Kal-El probably has the most updates bc he has so many activities going on right now. After baseball ended he really needed a sport in his life. By his choice not mine. This child loves sports. We put him back in jiu jitsu right away. He loves it and I hope he always does. Cant really say enough good things about it. I think it will make the journey of finding who he is life easier for him. A subject that is of utmost importance to me. If hes anything like me (and he is JUST like me) it will be a long/hard yet very meaningful/fulfilling road. He also started football this year. I was really on the fence about this one but he BEGGED. Honestly, I was more worried about heat related illnesses than sports injuries. We have only had a couple of practices but he is doing fantastic so far. I PROMISE to update as the season gets under way. I'm really very proud of him. A kid pushed him several times the first day. Kal-El didnt do anything bc he said "I didnt want to hurt him"....I wanted to cry..It was like watching the Man of Steel movie play out in real life. I had a good sit down with him afterwards and he stood up for himself the next day. He is so tender hearted like I am. His journey will be finding strength that he will need within himself to be assertive without being aggressive when needed. Been there buddy. xoxo He is so independent and has been counting down the days until school begins. There will be an update on that too. I'm both excited and nervous!
It wouldnt be a Kal-El blog post without a little attitude. He is really going to have to get OVER the fact that other people wear Superman shirts...even his mom lol!
Now for my Logan Bear. We are in a really successful yet challenging time with Wolvie. What I mean by that is he is continuing to make SO much progress on the language front. What comes with that is frustration on his part bc he understands now but cant fully express himself. He is just now hitting the challenging aspects of the "2's" even though he's three. I figure he is exactly one year behind. He has come leaps and bounds compared to where he started. I'm so very proud of him. The most difficult aspect of him being not quite caught up yet is his weight. If he were the size of an average 2 yr old I could hold up a little better psychically during meltdowns....but hes not. Heck, hes still in the 90% for a three year old. I need to hit the weights or something lol! I'm relieved that he is not on the spectrum. I would love him and be his biggest fan no matter but I understand ropes far better of ADHD bc of my background. I have no doubt that is what we are facing...we will definitely get it tackled as he gets older and help in anyone that we can. Seeing it first hand really makes me understand what a difference there is in an "excitable" 2-3 yr old and a real issue. He's literally the toughest person in this house...and the prettiest too. Cant wait til Kal-El reads this line one day LOL ;) He had his first dentist appointment and Chris and I were both amazed at how well he did. I really cant believe he sat in a chair that long!  He is still crazy for pizza and asks for it a good 3x per week. He easily puts away 5 pieces at a time. Zero clue where he puts it! He calls everyone in the family by name now and comprehends emotions and loves to comfort anyone that is upset. He is extremely affectionate to me and and wants me to lay in his little bed with him every night until he falls asleep. He walks up to me and says "Momma hand" I walk with him and he hops in the bed first then turns his covers down for me and says "here here" and points for me to lay down. He stares at my face until he falls asleep. Can I please just freeze him?!? So sweet! I look foward to having some one on one time with him while Super is at school. We are going to try our best to tackle potty training after we get fully adjusted to the school schedule. He will also begin a 2 day class of his own with Florence city for language. Its only a couple of hours but I hope he loves it.
Thats the latest on our lives! Hope to have more updates later in the week :)
