Spoiled Superheros :)

Mimsy and Larry were back in town this week and guess who got spoiled? Yep, the Borquez brats babies hee hee :)  Kal-el pretty much had free reign at Wal-mart. We were rolling through wally world two buggies deep full of treats. Super doesn't get to see my mom as much as he used to so it ended up being a special day for him therefore a little splurging was allowed. A little...only...I tried to emphasis...but some how we left the store looking like Christmas Eve on wheels. I have to admit I always get a little uncomfortable at the thought of buying my children an endless supply of toys with bells and whistles. Even during the holidays, I tend to feel just a little guilt because I know there are so many families that do without. Sometimes I have to remind myself that its ok to enjoy seeing your little one's face light up with joy over a new surprise and they are only small for such a short time. I also have to remind myself that I try daily to make sure I provide balance and remind my children how its equally ..actually MORE important to give back." To whom much is given, much is expected"  I'm just grateful that I have to be talked into little sprees like this instead of talked out of them. We had such a wonderful day with Mimsy. It's been long over do!
It is kind of hard to say "no" to this little face :)
This is how he would indicate he wanted something..and into the buggy it went!
Then into the car it went lol!
At home with HIS toys and HIS entire plate of cookies..thanks for the sugar high Mimsy!
Singing on his mic for us :)
And here we have "Sponge Pants" Christmas socks!
                                  Happy boy :)
This sweet boy is too little to pick out his goodies ..but if he could talk I knw he would say..I LOVE my jump-a-roo!

Logan Tries Bananas!

The original title of this post was going to be  ..Bananas over bananas....buuuuut, while baby Logee may have tolerated his first taste of fruit he wasn't exactly crazy about it. We are on day 3 now and he seems to like them a bit better. Perhaps it's an acquired taste or maybe Mommy here just forgot what a work in progress trying food for the first time can be. Especially considering how over half of it ends up on their little chins and bibs! I think I was also comparing to Super, who at the tender age of 4 months literally DEVOURED his food. I assumed Logan would be the same since he loves his milk so much. I think the one thing that I was taking for granted was his sweet little go with the flow laid back personality. It just took him a few days to get used to the idea of having an addition to his beloved bottle. A few more days of the yellow mush and we'll be moving on to ...well, orange mush. Next up ...peaches..yummy yummy :)
                                  "Mommy whats that stuff?!"
"Not sure if I'm feeling this ..."
"Ok Mommy what do I have to do to get my bottle back?"
"Ok I'll try a second bite"
"I'm thinking I could get used to this!"

Happy 79th Birthday Nannie!

On October 17th my precious grandmother turned 79 years young :) Our family celebrated her birthday last night. Even though it ended up being a week later it worked out so much better because most of the family was able to come. Chris had to miss poppas birthday because of work so I was thrilled that he was off last night. Uncle Raymond just returned home from a mission trip so he was able able to join us as well. Zach and Lea had plans to head out to Memphis the next day so we had it just in time for them not to miss it either. We had a great time like always. We filled the room with laughter like only our crazy bunch can. We also managed to fill the room with soda also Oops...Kal-el spilled a drink, Aunt Shane turned hers over and then just as we were about to leave I knocked on over with Logan's carrier so we'll just say he did it ;) Yikes I felt awful. We had the clumsys! It didn't end there Super also managed to crush half of Nannie's cake. He then decided he would "accidentally" headbutt me in the face, knocking my eyelashes off one eye. Zach said "Omg I don't know which eye I need to be looking at. It was hilarious! In spite of all of our crazy antics I hope we made Nannie feel very loved. She is certainly the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that any of us could ever ask for. Happy 79th Birthday Nannie. We love you!
Super going in for the kill lol!
                                 *Shakes head*
Raise your hand if you go around the table trying to eat up everyone's cake
Now throw your self to the floor when you are reprimanded lol ..oh my
