Today was Kal-El's Christmas party at school! Logan had to miss because he's still recuperating from being sick :( It was also pajama day so ninja turtles were in full force with Super :) I went up to the school early so I could get pictures of him playing dirty santa....he was NOT happy with my photo documenting LOL He had a great time and really loves his school! He got to play tug of war for the first time today and his class won so he was overjoyed. Logan is feeling lots better today so hopefully we can work on a gingerbread train tonight. For now, Chris and Kal-El are enjoying the Home Alone trilogies. I love this time of year! :)

Santa At the Railroad!
Last night Santa came to visit the railroad. I was so happy Chris was off and able to take us to his job to see the big guy. Its always fun for the boys to see the trains to! The trip went the complete opposite as I would of expected. Kal-El had very warm reactions to Santa after only a little initial hesitation. :) Logan had a complete meltdown over him and wouldnt go anywhere near him! Thats the reason there's only a pic of Kal-El in the official picture :) After pictures they provided hamburgers and refreshments. While we were enjoying ourselves I noticed Logan started to feel a little warm. By the time we arrived back home his fever was 101. Poor baby. I treated his fever bc he was pretty miserable acting and settled in with my boys to watch some redbox movies :) Im pretty low on sleep as I type and Ill be taking Logan to see Dr. Melvin soon. Hoping its just his ears but I need to get him well so he can enjoy Christmas! I'm still laughing looking at this smile plastered across Super's face as he sits in Santa's lap!

December Nights!
I had entertained the idea of doing the days of Christmas posts each night and quickly abandoned that fleeting thought as soon as it entered lol! Thats one of the reasons I blog a bit less now. I was doing it for everyone but me...almost forgetting why I started in the first place...to archive our lives as a family. The pressure of Wordless Wednesday and others urging me to post was too much for me to deal with. Blogging was getting in the way of us actually living and it took all the enjoyment out of it! I love it again now and dont plan to overkill it so the days of Christmas post would be far too much on my plate!
It's really starting to feel like the holidays at the Borquez house. So neat how the "magic" just kind of kicks in. Chris and I got the boys shopping done yesterday. My sweet grandparents were kind enough to come over and watch Kal-El for us. We took Logan with us...hes a handful for them and its not like he would know whats going on with Santa at his age anyway :) I cant believe we got it done in a few short hours. I didnt even snap a picture! There was a very funny convo that took place in Target while we were shopping
An elderly Caucasian man heard me say "but we still HAVE to get matching jp's for Christmas eve night..we are nowhere near done really...he walked over to Chris and said.."hang in there my brother just try to hang in there" LOL We all cracked up :)
We really enjoyed watching all the Christmas shows that come on the evenings. We all pile up on the couch and watch them and its time that I wouldnt trade for anything. One of the very best parts is the fact that Logan is actually able to sit and enjoy them and interact with us. He's learning and talking is really starting to take off now. So very proud of him :) Here are a few pictures of our boys..Im sure there will be lots more to come! We still have to bake cookies for santa, and work on a gingerbread house!

Favorite Time Of Year!
So I may be a little late blogging but I wasnt late putting our tree up this year! I had it up by mid November and honestly I think I'll always put it up early! We have really liked having more time to enjoy it this way! Kal-El loved to help with putting it up and Logan has loved yanking the ornaments off lol! I really want to add more trees next year. I have our big tree and the boys superhero tree but I dont think one in each bedroom would hurt a thing! Chris prob doenst agree with that notion at all! We didnt have a fireplace at our old house so I absolutely love having personalized stockings for everyone! The ones I have now came from Pottery Barn. I used some of my giftcard from winning the styling challenge back in July!
I always want Kal-El and Logan to understand the importance of giving back and having compassion for others. This year before we bought any gaudy ornaments or made any kind of Christmas lists we sat down as a family and looked at items we could send to 3rd world counties out of a little catalog we received in the mail. I let Super pick! He chose soccer balls for the little boys and fruit trees bc he loves fruit. He makes me so proud that he has a tender and giving heart to go along with his fiery passion...reminds me of someone else I know well ;)
I have a confession..we havent even started with Christmas shopping yet...I almost had a panic attack typing that but well get there..anyday now :) Im really loving the cold weather and desperately want a good snow! Doubt it will happen but a girl can dream right? Two more weeks until Christmas! Cant wait! Kal-El has just now taken to the idea of Santa and just like the Elf on the shelf he hates the idea....he called the Elf a "hater" when I offered to buy him one. He also hates the Santa app I put on my phone.
I swear we really do need a reality show. I tried to find the online number to call a toll free Santa hotline. I put my phone on speaker and seconds later the obviously outdated number had women moaning and "enjoying" themselves. While Im trying to end the call with the sex line Kal-El is asking "Are those the elves?" "Hellooooo, you there hellooooo?"I tried some apps on my phone and found the best one and let him "talk" to Santa. He listened one time and had the nerve to tell me to "just dont answer next time him calls" LOLOLOL then he said "tell him my stuff is coming from stores and my Bridget can just sneak in my house wif toys at night...we arent talking to him anymore" He has way to much heart and Im having a tough time finding leverage!

Chris's Birthday :)
Chris's birthday was a couple of days ago :) Sense his big party was last year we did a simple cake this year. Well maybe it wasnt simple...it was actually pretty awesome! I asked Heather to create a Black Mamba cake (his fight name) and she really out did herself as always! It tasted even better then it looked. We had the usual Mexican restaurant lunch with the grandparents and just enjoyed our day as a family. So happy to be celebrating another year of Chris's life. He's accomplished so much in his life and risen above impossible circumstances. We love him lots. His most random birthday present this year was 2 stitches. Yep, 5 or 6 fights and no injuries and one day of training and he gets a new hole in his cheek. OUCH! He's healing well though. Its fun telling people I should of taken it easier on the birthday licks ;) I should prob unload several pictures from Instagram sense I tend to do way more of that lately than anything else! Its just crazy hard to keep up with Logan. I dont have down time like I used to :) I'll never fully forsake the blog though...so no worries!
